Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
We build mobility services that need trust. This Policy explains what information we use, why we use it, how we protect it and the choices available to you.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how TUVON Technologies Ltd (“TUVON”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal data when you visit our website, use our applications, contact support, join a waitlist, request a ride, use dispatch or shared travel, drive, partner with us or otherwise interact with the TUVON platform. TUVON is responsible for the processing described here except where a third party acts as an independent controller under its own notice.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use TUVON, we may collect identity and contact details; account credentials and verification records; phone, email and emergency-contact details; profile, vehicle, licence and compliance information; pickup, destination, route, GPS and trip activity; booking, fare, payment status, refund and transaction references; a masked payment-method label or processor token where a provider makes one available; ratings, support messages, complaints, call or chat records where permitted; device, app, browser, IP, log, diagnostic and approximate location data; marketing preferences; and information you submit in applications, partnership enquiries, careers forms or waitlist forms. Full card numbers, card security codes, online banking credentials and payment PINs are entered into the relevant payment processor’s secure interface and are not stored on TUVON servers. We do not ask you to submit passwords, PINs or full card numbers through public forms.
3. How we use data
We use personal data to create and secure accounts; verify riders, drivers, vehicles and partners; match services; calculate and document fares; record payment status and reconcile transactions; coordinate refunds through the payment processor; provide route, dispatch and shared-travel coordination; monitor safety and investigate incidents; detect fraud and abuse; provide support; send operational messages; improve reliability, accessibility and performance; understand demand and service quality; comply with law, court orders and regulatory requests; protect people, property and the platform; and send marketing where permitted and where you have not opted out. TUVON does not handle or store raw card details on its servers.
4. Lawful bases and choices
We process data where necessary to perform or take steps toward a contract, comply with a legal obligation, protect vital interests, pursue legitimate interests with appropriate safeguards, or on the basis of consent where consent is required. You may withdraw consent for consent-based processing at any time, but this will not affect processing already carried out lawfully or processing required to provide a service, meet legal obligations or protect safety.
5. Location and safety data
Location data may be used during a requested or active trip, for pickup and route coordination, dispatch visibility, fraud prevention, emergency response, safety monitoring and service analytics. You can manage device permissions, but disabling location may prevent some features from working. Safety events, route deviations, emergency alerts and related evidence may be retained for investigation, legal compliance, insurance and dispute resolution.
6. AI and automated processing
We may use automated and AI-assisted systems for matching, route and demand guidance, fare estimation, fraud detection, safety anomaly detection, support routing and operational insights. These systems may use trip, location, device, account and historical service data. They are designed to assist operational decisions and may be reviewed or overridden by people. We do not promise that an automated output is always correct. You may contact us to challenge a material decision, request clarification where required by law or ask for human review.
7. Who we share data with
We may share relevant data with drivers, riders, couriers and fleet or leasing partners to provide a confirmed service; payment processors and financial institutions that process the financial transaction directly with your selected payment method; maps, routing, communications, identity, verification, cloud, analytics, security and customer-support providers; insurers, professional advisers and auditors; emergency services or regulators where lawful or necessary; and a successor or purchaser in a merger, financing, restructuring or sale. TUVON receives and retains transaction status, references, amounts and reconciliation records, but does not receive or store raw card details on its servers. We limit disclosures to what is reasonably necessary and require processors to protect data and act on our instructions where applicable.
8. Retention
We retain data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including account and service delivery, safety, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, legal claims, dispute resolution and regulatory obligations. Retention periods depend on the type and sensitivity of the data. When data is no longer required, we delete, anonymise or securely isolate it, subject to lawful exceptions.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the risk, including access controls, encryption in transit where supported, secret management, logging, monitoring, supplier controls, restricted operational access and incident-response procedures. No internet service is completely secure. Do not share one-time passwords, payment PINs or credentials with anyone claiming to be TUVON. Report suspected compromise promptly to hello@tuvonlimited.com.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law and lawful limitations, you may request access to personal data we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction or objection to certain processing, withdrawal of consent, data portability where applicable, and information about our processing. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information we must keep for safety, legal, fraud or dispute purposes. We aim to respond within the period required by applicable law.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use essential cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep the website secure, remember preferences, support forms and understand performance. Optional analytics or marketing technologies will be used only as permitted by applicable law and your choices. You can control cookies through your browser, although disabling essential technologies may affect site functionality.
12. Children
The Services are not directed to children who cannot lawfully use the relevant service. Do not create an account or submit personal data on behalf of a child unless you are authorised to do so. If you believe a child has provided personal data improperly, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
13. Complaints and contact
For privacy questions, rights requests, correction or deletion requests, contact hello@tuvonlimited.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. You may also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or another competent supervisory authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can investigate and respond.
14. Updates
We may update this Policy when our Services, processing practices, legal requirements or security measures change. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek consent.
